Upholstery - Taster Weekend

We run regular weekend taster sessions in traditional upholstery. We start with an overview of the craft, its history and the key differences between traditional and modern upholstery. We will show you the materials used in both approaches and show you how to use the tools. After this introductory session you will get hands on with the stripping and complete re-upholstery of a drop-in seat for a dining chair (either your own or one we provide).  Bring some top cover fabric if you are doing your own seat.  If you get a taste for upholstery, we have plenty of courses you can progress to.

10 am to 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.
