Modern Project Upholstery 5 Week Daytime Class

Learn modern upholstery techniques from a professional. Sharon Hennessy has run her own upholstery business for many years and is also a talented and experienced teacher. Bring a post-1950 chair to this five week daytime class, taught on Mondays, and you will learn whatever skills you need to turn it into something glorious. You will learn about modern upholstery materials and fixings, and, depending on your chosen project, you could also learn sewing machine skills, pattern making, button and fluting, and box cushion making.  We provide all the structural upholstery materials and you provide a stunning top cover fabric.

In five weeks you should be able to complete a small armchair or cocktail chair, or one or two dining chairs, or a box cushion or two.  Larger projects might need more time.

This could be the beginning of a new and lucrative hobby.

The class size is restricted to six, so you will get plenty of attention. The session runs for five consecutive Mondays from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
